Practice Breakdown:

The drill involves four players working at the same time in a continuous rotation. Each player starts by dribbling to and around the cone directly ahead of them. After completing the dribble, they must then pass the ball into the next player in line. The process repeats with players constantly moving and passing.
The coach can vary the cones the players must initially dribble around and may also dictate which direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise) the players should work in, creating variation and challenge.
• Dribbling Control: Encourage players to keep close control while dribbling and focus on quick touches around the cone to maintain rhythm.
• Passing Quality: Stress the importance of clean, accurate passing to the next player while maintaining good posture and balance.
• Decision Making: Players should be aware of the situation ahead, using feints or changes of direction to improve their dribbling and engage the cone at the correct angle.
• Body Shape: As players approach the cone, they should position their body to shield the ball, ensuring they can change direction quickly.
Change of Direction Challenge:
Players must now dribble to a cone, stop, and then change direction to complete the pass to the next player.
Focus: Focuses on improving quick direction changes, agility, and turning under control.
