This 1-to-1 drill is designed to develop a player's ability to receive under control, dribble with intent, and finish the move with an accurate pass. The player works through a series of technical tasks that require quick feet, sharp ball control, and decisive execution. Each repetition ends with a pass into a mini goal to simulate playing a decisive final ball.
• Focus on Taking a Positive First Touch Into Space – Guide the ball into your path to set up the next action cleanly and keep momentum going forward.
• Maintain Close Control While Dribbling at Speed – Keep the ball within playing distance when accelerating, turning, and navigating tight areas with sharp touches.
• Scan Before Receiving to Make Early Decisions – Check surroundings for space, pressure, and next action before the ball arrives to stay one step ahead.
• Use Different Surfaces When Passing Under Pressure – Vary between inside, laces, and outside foot for better control, disguised passes, and improved weight.
Increase the Speed of Repetitions
