This semi-opposed build up drill allows teams to develop specific patterns of build up play before finishing the phase with a 2v2 attack in a small grid, which replicates progressing the ball from the middle third into the attacking third.
As a progression, allow for a centre forward positioned on the half way line to drop into either of the grids and create a 3v2 overload.
