Milan Combinations & Finish
ADDED TO FAVOURITES

Practice Breakdown:
Number of Players: 7 | Pitch size: 40x40
In this unopposed finishing drill on the edge of the area, players work on sharp, short passing combinations in tight spaces before finishing on goal. The focus is on technical execution, timing, and composure when striking the ball after quick build-up play.
Players rotate through roles, executing various passing patterns such as wall passes, lay-offs, and third-man runs. The final player in the sequence will break into space and take a first-time or composed finish from the edge of the box.
• Sharp Combinations: Encourage quick, precise passing with minimal touches. Players should stay focused on the rhythm and timing of each movement within the sequence.
• Quality Finishing: Emphasize clean and composed finishes. Players should aim for accuracy over power, using different surfaces of the foot when appropriate.
• Body Positioning: Players must open up their body appropriately to receive and finish in stride. This will improve balance and fluidity in their movement.
• Movement Off the Ball: Highlight the importance of supporting runs, third-man movements, and timing to ensure the passing sequence flows smoothly.
Add Passive Defenders:
Introduce passive defenders to add slight pressure and force quicker decision-making without full contact.
Focus: Improves speed of play and decision-making in tight areas, simulating more game-like conditions.
Alternate Finishing Types:
After each round, specify the type of finish (e.g., first-time shot, outside of the foot, weak foot).
Focus: Develops players’ finishing versatility and comfort using both feet under varying scenarios.
