Millwall 3rd Man Attacking SSG
ADDED TO FAVOURITES

Practice Breakdown:
Number of Players: 13 | Pitch size: 60x40
In this drill, play starts with a pass to the goalkeeper, who is responsible for initiating the build-up. The players are organized in a 5v5 setup, with all players locked into one side of the pitch. The opposite side of the field remains completely unoccupied, but the goalkeeper provides the numerical advantage, creating a 6v5 overload in possession. The attacking team’s objective is to play through the lines and create space on the open side of the pitch.
The team in possession must pass to the central player on the central line and then execute a 3rd man combination to break through. After completing the combination, the attacking team aims to exploit the space on the unoccupied side of the field and finish the attack with a goal.

Restrict the Number of Touches:
Limit the number of touches for each player (e.g., a maximum of two touches per player). This forces quicker decision-making and ensures a faster tempo in the build-up.
Focus: Promotes quick ball circulation and decision-making, creating a more dynamic build-up.
