Prague 4 Phase Finishing
ADDED TO FAVOURITES

Practice Breakdown:
Number of Players: 10 | Pitch size: 1/3 Pitch
This is a continuous 4-phase unopposed finishing drill involving three players working together through a series of attacking patterns. Each phase represents a different style of movement, combination, or delivery that leads to a shot on goal, encouraging repetition, rhythm, and variety in finishing scenarios.
The practice focuses on developing timing of runs, clean technical execution, and finishing under minimal pressure. Once a shot is taken in one phase, players immediately transition into the next, cycling through all four phases before restarting the sequence.
• Emphasize clean execution of passing and movement between phases – Players should maintain high technical quality and flow through each attacking pattern
• Encourage communication and timing of runs into key areas – Players must coordinate movements to ensure arrivals into shooting zones are well-timed and not rushed
• Focus on body shape and finishing variety during shooting moments – Players should practice using different surfaces and shot types based on the delivery
• Reinforce tempo and sharpness throughout all four phases – Even though unopposed, players should treat each sequence with game-like intensity and purpose
Reverse the Sequence Direction
Have players complete the four phases in reverse order to challenge their adaptability and sharpen their awareness in new sequences.
Focus: Promotes flexibility in pattern recognition and reinforces movement in different directions across the attacking third.
