Vaduz Technical Square
ADDED TO FAVOURITES

Practice Breakdown:
Number of Players: 8 | Pitch size: 30x30
This technical passing and receiving practice focuses on developing clean ball circulation, awareness and movement off the ball. Two balls are in play at the same time, encouraging players to stay alert and maintain rhythm while receiving and passing under light pressure. The main emphasis is on executing accurate passes, preparing the body correctly before receiving and maintaining consistent tempo throughout the practice.
Players follow their pass after each action, rotating continuously through different positions and angles around the square. This creates a constant flow of movement and repetition, helping players refine their first touch, body shape and passing detail while also improving communication and awareness of multiple balls moving simultaneously.
• First Touch Preparation:
Encourage players to prepare their body before receiving so the first touch sets up the next action smoothly.
• Open Body Shape:
Reinforce receiving side-on where possible, allowing players to see more of the practice and play forward quickly.
• Weight and Accuracy of Pass:
Emphasise crisp, well-weighted passes that allow teammates to maintain tempo without slowing the passing sequence.
• Movement After the Pass:
Coach players to follow their pass quickly and rotate with purpose to maintain rhythm and passing angles.
Two-Touch Passing Only:
Require players to control and pass the ball within two touches throughout the entire practice.
Focus:
Improves first-touch quality, sharper ball circulation and quicker decision-making when multiple balls are moving.
